北京，初冬。

张建国站在望京SOHO塔3的23楼窗前，俯瞰着这座他生活了二十五年的城市。天空是熟悉的灰白色，街道上的车流像缓慢移动的甲虫。他的手指无意识地敲击着窗沿，频率越来越快。

会议室里，气氛凝重。人力资源总监、法务总监和一位他从未见过的年轻副总坐在长桌对面。

“建国，坐。”王总是公司的创始人之一，曾经和张建国一起熬夜做方案的老战友。如今他的表情却像隔着一条无法跨越的河。

谈话持续了二十五分钟。核心内容很简单：公司业务调整，他所在的部门整体裁撤，他作为部门负责人，可以获得12个月工资的赔偿。

“建国，我真的很抱歉。”王总送他到电梯口时说。
